The traditional art and craft form of quilting will be displayed at the Mariposa Piece Makers Outdoor Quilt Show, May 3 at the Mariposa Museum and History Center.  Numerous examples of contemporary quilting, as well as many painstakingly created heritage quilts (some up to 100 years old) will be shown.  Master quilters will be on hand to demonstrate and describe the techniques and styles they employ, including: machine assembly, applique, beading, etc.  The exhibit will be outside between the Mariposa Museum’s rose garden and carriage house from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
