Yosemite’s Top Five Places to Kiss - #5 Tuolumne Meadows
Monday, April 30th, 2007Yosemite National Park is best known for the grand sights of Yosemite Valley, although when locals want a romantic interlude, they head to the high country and Tuolumne Meadows. From June through October, this subalpine meadow is a scene of emerald grasses, bright and delicate wildflowers and clear waters that reflect sawtooth peaks, snowfields and blue skies. There’s easy hiking across granite slopes to secluded pools and surging cascades. The only interruptions may be an occasional passing hiker, the splash of a jumping trout or the sight of a golden eagle as it soars above.
