Ice Hockey Returns to Historic Rink
The skating rink at Curry Village was once proposed to host the 1932 Olympic Winter Games. That honor went to Lake Placid, NY. Today (Monday, Jan. 14), ice hockey returns to Yosemite Valley when the Fresno Falcons professional hockey team demonstrates their skating skills and meets hockey fans at the Curry Village Ice Rink. Team members, team mascot Freddie Falcon and the team’s coaching staff will be on hand from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Park visitors are invited to meet and greet the players, take photos, try out their skating skills.
